What is the situation?
It has been two months since we moved and our factory is still under construction. We lifted the limitation on shipping labels in August and they are being used more and more every month! It's great how many people want to contribute to sustainability in 3D printing 🙂
We are receiving more and more material for recycling. Our processing process is already in full swing! And the first machines are processing material. But one question remains: Why is the shop still empty?
We are at least as impatient as you are. We find out how impatient you are from the many emails that arrive asking about filament availability in the shop. September was our stated goal. Unfortunately, I have to tell you today that we did not reach this date.
What was the reason?
More or less small and large things have contributed to the delay . Sometimes it's leaky windows, difficulties with transporting a machine, catching up on the backlog of packages, the MakerFaire or training our new employee. But two things in particular held us up in September: delivery problems and Corona.
Delivery difficulties because we do not know when our container with the remaining machines and machine parts will arrive. An uncertainty that is unfortunately beyond our control.
Corona, because this pandemic is not over yet. Over the past two years, we have been incredibly lucky not to have been infected or to have experienced any direct effects on our start-up. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. Two of our founders were out of action for a total of three weeks. Anyone who works in a small business or start-up knows that we were missing important manpower.
But it goes on!
We start October fully recovered and with the goal of being able to offer filament in the shop again 🙂
