Wie sammle ich meine Filamentreste am besten?

What is the best way to collect my filament scraps?

This is how you can collect

Your print is finished and you notice that it didn't turn out as planned? Or it's already clear that it's going to be a misprint?
Then don't throw it in the bin, we'll gladly accept any shriveled prints. 😀

A fox has lost its head

A tip to start with: if you have a box right next to your printer where you can throw the leftover filament directly in, you won't have any extra work.
Of course, it's great if you can separate the leftovers directly by color; just use several small boxes/containers.

What can you send us?

Whether it's filament waste, prototypes, support structures, brims or the last 12 g on the spool, we welcome everything.
Have you used up a filament roll? What should you do with it? You can simply put plastic spools in the box and send them to us.
We currently accept the plastic types PLA, PLA+ and PETG.

And this is how it works

Are you running out of space? Check whether you have reached the delivery limit of at least 2 kg in Germany and at least 7 kg within Europe. Then simply request a shipping label, put the containers in a box and send them to us.
Do you mainly print with a single color plastic anyway? Then it's even easier! Find a suitable box that you just need to close and seal. Put a shipping label on it and send it off to us.

Important: Separate correctly!

Help us by separating your leftovers according to plastic, this is good for you because you get more points.
And for us, it doesn't mean any extra work when sorting. Or we would otherwise have to spend a lot of time checking what type of plastic it is.

Why is it important to separate plastics?

Plastics have different properties. They have different densities, different melting points and many other different properties. In order to produce high-quality new film from them, we need to know what temperature etc. can be used. The 3D printer heats up to different temperatures for different types of plastic, and the same is true during processing.

Why sort by color?

It is not mandatory for you to separate the colors, but it helps us a lot!
If we want to produce a color again, we must be able to reproduce the correct color constellation and the correct mixing ratio.
So you or we separate the colors to achieve color purity in order to produce the right color.
